Charlie Cox Confirms Daredevil: Born Again is a Reboot

The last episode of She-Hulk had teased the arrival of Daredevil (this time in a yellow cowl), and we know that he’s going to get a new series with Daredevil: Born Again.

With some fans still arguing over what will be kept in the MCU canon, Daredevil star Charlie Cox has confirmed that the Netflix continuity is now defunct. Talking to Extra TV, Cox confirms:

“It is a Season 1, it is not Season 4, so it is a whole new thing. Which I think is the way to go. If you are going to do it again, do it differently.”

For now, the only thing we can confirm that is being kept from the Netflix continuity is the casting. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are still the Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk of the MCU. Besides that, the fate and lore of the characters are up in the air. She-Hulk had already introduced a new costume designer for Daredevil. What else can we expect to be shaken up for Born Again.

While I did enjoy the Daredevil shows at the time, they are admittedly goofy in some parts. While Cox and D’Onofrio are spot-on casting, there are a lot of elements from the series that are kind of clumsy, like the ninja and Elektra.

If they were to bring back anything else from Marvel Netflix, I think the casting of side characters was fine, and the Jon Bernthal’s Punisher treatment is definitely great.

It’s unclear what else will be brought to the continuity of Daredevil: Born Again, but you can watch out for Matt in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law which gets new episodes every Thursday on Disney+.
