Could the Giant Heads be Coming Back in the Next Rick and Morty Episode?

We thought that Rick and Morty had already done their Arrival parody with the Get Schwifty episode back in Season Two, but it looks like the series has another take on the film with the upcoming JuRicksic Mort.

Just in, Adult Swim has dropped a new Sneak Peek for the next episode. Watch this:

The episode essentially starts with Morty walking into class, and with all the shenanigans that he’s gotten into over the course of the show, it looks like Morty’s Math teacher Mr. Goldenfold isn’t having any of it. After that though, we have a look at a space ship arriving, and it’s pretty close to the visuals we got from Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival.

Who knows, maybe this is an evolved version of the Giant Heads a.k.a. Cromulons; after all, the season has been making several callbacks to past episodes, with Space Beth returning and one episode taking place inside the Roy simulator in Blips and Chitz. Maybe the Cromulons have evolved to demand a different kind of entertainment from the worlds they take captive, and this time it will be up to Rick and Morty to make up a hit drama series. You think a RuPaul’s Drag Race parody would be in the cards for a series like Rick and Morty?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Watch out for new episodes of Rick and Morty on HBO Max every Sunday.
