The Wonder: Florence Pugh Must Nurse a Peculiar Child in First Trailer

We’ve watched Florence Pugh get suspicious about a utopian society with Don’t Worry Darling, but now she’s ready to get tormented again in Netflix’s upcoming movie The Wonder.

A new trailer just dropped for the film, and it has Pugh becoming the nurse of an odd girl who doesn’t eat—for four months. Watch this:

Here’s the official description:

Starring Florence Pugh and based on the book by Emma Donoghue, writer of Room. The Wonder is the tale of a young Irish girl, Anna O’Donnell, whose Catholic family claim she has eaten nothing since her eleventh birthday… four months ago.

Funnily enough, the plot, just like Room, involves a story that has two people stuck in one place with one of them having a peculiar quirk. I guess the trailer kind of suggests that Pugh would somehow find herself undergoing the same ‘no eating’ condition—pretty much like how she ends up embracing the weird cult in Midsommar.

With projects like Dune: Part Two and the upcoming Thunderbolts with Marvel Studios, Pugh is certainly keeping herself busy. I guess there really isn’t any room for worrying about any drama with director Olivia Wilde—so it’s a wonder she hasn’t said anything about the whole fiasco behind-the-scenes of Don’t Worry Darling. Then again, this could just be something Twitter was cooking up by itself because they had nothing better to do.

The Wonder is set to hit select theaters and Netflix on Nov. 16.
