New 'IT' Movie TV Spots Feature Creepier New Footage of Pennywise

Warner Bros. Latin America released new footage from the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s IT with more of the nightmare inducing Pennywise.  Capturing the correct tone for the creepy clown.

Last week, Warner Bros. released the second trailer for Andrés Muschietti’s R-rated Stephen King Adaptation. The second trailer revealed Bill Skarsgard’s voice as Pennywise. Causing divisions amongst fans finding his voice lacking the taunting insanity brought to the role by Tim Curry back in 1990.

Despite the fan debate, the second trailer went well with the masses with the IT movie having some of the biggest social media buzz coming out of San Diego Comic-Con.

In the new TV spot, Warner Bros. Latin America unveiled quite a bit of new footage.

IT TV Spot Features Friendship and Talking Pennywise

The new “IT” TV spot follows friendship as the strongest running theme in the Stephen King thriller. The characters are dependent on their bond and support for their safety. Because of their common status as losers and outsiders among their peers, they called their little group Losers’ Club. Watch the first “IT” TV spot below:

The new clip featured in the TV spot has Pennywise speaking to the Loser’s Club, specifically Eddie Kaspbrak.

Pennywise was attempting to lure Eddie with lots and lots of red balloons. His line about Eddie having a lot of friends is repeated over and over. Intensifying the creepy factor the movie has already set in most of their trailers.

But the first TV spot emphasized how important it is for Eddie and his friends to stick together. Without each other Pennywise would surely pick them off one by one. It is the strength that enables the Losers’ Club that gives them the courage to face Pennywise.

New Footage Features Pennywise In Bozo The Clown TV Show

When the child luring clown cannot get any creepier, the new footage proves there is no quota of creepiness Pennywise can reach. The new footage features what could be the creepiest scene shown to date.

Aside from new Losers’ Club footage the spot ends with a nightmarish scene of Pennywise leading a spine-tingling song on TV. Pennywise and the audience of a Bozo the Clown kids TV show chanting “kill them all.” It’s not clear what the context of the clip is but it is still an unsettling image for viewers.

Another eerie clip in the TV spot has one of the kids, Beverly Mash (Sophia Lilli) levitating somewhere in the Derry sewer system. It is unclear if on why Beverly being held up in the air.

Moschetti’s version of is amping up both anticipation and the creep factor on his take on King’s classic story.

“IT” will be showing in theaters on September 8. Here’s the second TV spot:
