'Narcos' Season 3 Trailer Relives World's Biggest Cocaine Enterprise

“Narcos” returns to kick some high and mighty drug syndicates in its newest and probably most bone-chilling season to date! Praised for its raw and gripping reimagination of the 80’s illegal drug war, be prepared to be brought back to the most notorious one yet. If you think Pablo Escobar was intense, get a load of the Cali Cartel!

But before that, if you aren’t familiar of the Cali Cartel, be informed that it caused the growth of cocaine in the European market. Sounds big, doesn’t it? Well, that’s not all there is to this dangerous multi-billion-dollar enterprise. And we’re about to witness it.

Brief look into the history of the Cali Cartel

The trailer introduced the police’s new enemy as “the biggest cocaine cartel in history”– you got that right. After finally eliminating Pablo Escobar, the list of kingpins will keep on counting. In fact, if it hadn’t been for their ‘breaking away’ from Pablo, the founders of the Cali Cartel might not be as successful as they would be.

The Cali Cartel began in the city of Santiago de Cali, Southern Colombia. And “Narcos” is about to introduce the masterminds behind this operation—The Rodriguez brothers. With chilling connections to regions like the United States, Central America, and Southern America, the Cali Cartel was dubbed as the “most powerful crime syndicate in the country.”

With such a rich and frightening background on the new “Narcos” Season 3, you can expect haunting truths and exciting gun action. Plus, a little history lesson too.

Other than that, we can hope for Agent Javier Pena’s success in cleaning out the gutter. The “Narcos” trailer did mention something about ‘godfathers in handcuffs,’ right? Wonder if it’ll be a successful weeding for the police? Better watch out for it!

Narcos premieres September 1 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below:
