Once Upon a Time – Michael Socha Previews Sunday’s “Rocky Road”

Eagle-eyed fans who have seen our image gallery for Once Upon a Time’s “Rocky Road” will know that the Knave of Hearts – aka Will Scarlett – will make his presence felt on sunday.

What does Scarlett want, why is he going through Robin Hood’s things and how does he become mixed up with Hook and Emma?

Michael Socha joins us in the following video interview to preview Sunday’s episode.

According to the actor, Scarlett is about to become a third wheel in Emma and Hook’s blossoming romance. “The Knave is not necessarily getting in the way of the romance, but just getting in the way of things in general.” the actor previews. “He’s a thief, and obviously Emma’s a sheriff. Hook’s in love with Emma, and so with all of that involvement, I’m just an annoyance. I’m keeping her in a job.”

Socha admits he was worried before joining the cast of Once Upon a Time. “They’re all doing so well,” the actor admitted. “I didn’t know how friendly they’d be towards a newcomer, but to my delight they were absolutely lovely.”

The Knave spent much of his time in ABC’s spin-off series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland essentially without a heart. Will his character be any different this time around? That’s a yes, according to Socha.

“He’s entered Storybrooke with a heart, but he’s still the drunken thief with attitude. He’s a bit of a cocky sod, so there’s still that … but maybe with a bit more feeling, a bit more compassion.”
