4*Town Returns in Turning Red Animated Music Video for 1 True Love

Encanto isn’t the only musical animated hit from Disney this year. Fans fell in love with the fictional boy band 4*Town when Turning Red came out, and now we have a new animated music video for their song 1 True Love.

Check it out:

What’s funny is that the video actually tells the backstory of the movie’s secondary antagonist Tyler, who bullies Mei and the girls throughout the whole film but is revealed to be a fan of 4*Town just like them.

It’s not clear if they actually planned to give him a backstory in the movie, but this video definitely serves as great supplementary content for anyone who wants more of Pixar’s Turning Red. A sequel hasn’t been announced for the film, but I would definitely want to see more of Mei and her friends growing up with a magical red panda thrown in for some extra shenanigans.

Here’s the official description for Turning Red:

Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins “Turning Red” is streaming exclusively on Disney+ now.

Turning Red is now available on Disney+.
