Adventure Awaits in Trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Starring Chris Pine

The week just seems to be full of Dragon reveals. After the latest teaser for House of the Dragon and the return of The Dragon Prince on Netflix, Paramount has dropped the first trailer for their adventure fantasy film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
The film has Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Star Trek) leading a band of merry adventurers, and you can watch them all come together here:
A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.
With Stranger Things essentially bringing a renewed interest in D&D, you can see that the movie seems to be leaning in on the comedy/adventure element—plus, we also get some heavy metal guitar in the trailer.
What I think is also great is the banter between characters has a very modern sensibility, kind of like friends sitting around on a table and throwing dice. While I thought Pine was going to be the Dungeon Master, I think it’s great that we actually see him be part of the party—even if he is just a bard.
Though I think the movie is supposed to be fun for general audiences, I think fans of the original game will also love the references in the film—like the chest monster that jumps to life.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves comes to theaters this March.
