'Annabelle 3' Adds 'Supernatural' Actress Katie Sarife in Leading Role

As The Conjuring grows into its own universe of horror films, anticipation is slowly building up for Annabelle 3, the follow up to last year’s Annabelle: Creation. The cast for the upcoming horror flick is also expanding, with the recent addition of Supernatural’s Katie Sarife as the latest addition, according to Deadline. Sarife will be playing Judy’s cousin and babysitter.

Annabelle 3 is the sixth movie in The Conjuring film franchise and will be written and directed by Gary Dauberman—marking this as Dauberman’s directorial debut. Sarife joins McKenna Grace (Designated Survivor) and Madison Iseman (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). Annabelle 3 will also see the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, as they reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren. This will also be the first time that we will see the Warrens in a Conjuring spin-off movie.

The upcoming horror film will follow the story of the Warrens as they pick up the demon doll and add it to their Artifacts Room to prevent it from wreaking further terror—or so they thought. The demonic power in the doll awakens the various evils found in the room and sets its eyes on the Warrens’ 10-year-old daughter, Judy (Grace). Together, Judy and the other main characters would have to face the horrors that the Annabelle doll has in store for them.

Annabelle 3 will begin production this week and is slated for a July 3, 2019 release date.
