Bert Kreischer and Mark Hamill Star in Crazy Trailer for The Machine
Published 3 weeks ago
A few years ago, comedian Bert Kreischer had gone viral with his telling of a story of how he got involved with the Russian Mafia, and while the premise of that story is crazy enough, Kreischer has teamed up with Sony Pictures for a fictional follow-up to Kreischer’s brief time as ‘The Machine’.
Check out the trailer for The Machine starring Kreischer and Mark Hamill:
Here’s the official synopsis:
Set 23 years after the original story which inspired it, The Machine finds Bert Kreischer facing familial crisis and the arrival of his estranged father (Mark Hamill) when the ghost of his booze-soaked past arrives: a murderous mobster (Iva Babić) hellbent on kidnapping Bert back to the motherland to atone for his crimes. Together, he and his father must retrace the steps of his younger self (Jimmy Tatro) in the midst of a war between a sociopathic crime family while they attempt to find common ground.
Just in case you’re not familiar with Kreischer’s The Machine act, you can check it out here:
We don’t know how much of the film is going to be based off of Kreischer’s real life, but his act does include a lot of stories with his family, and he does share a lot of stories with his father, so Mark Hamill’s version of an estranged dad is completely fictional. Kreischer does have some fun stories with his wife and daughters, so I wonder if they’re going to be making an appearance in the film as well.
The movie looks like a good time, and besides Kreischer being his own crazy persona, I think it’s going to be great watching Luke Skywalker let loose and go crazy on drugs.
The Machine hits theaters on May 25.
