Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Synopsis Confirms the Death of T’Challa

The San Diego Comic-Con came with a lot of great reveals, and one of them was the first trailer for the highly anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While the trailer was fantastic, it didn’t come with an official synopsis, but now we have it, and it confirms the death of T’Challa.

“In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.”

It certainly is a shame that Chadwick Boseman passed away, seeing that we were only seeing the beginning of T’Challa’s reign. For now, some are guessing that it will be Shuri who will be taking over the Black Panther mantle, while some think the title could belong to T’Challa’s love interest Nakia. Some are hoping that the role could be given to M’Baku, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Though there was a #RecastTChalla movement going around, I guess it got its steam too late in the game. Hopefully Marvel has a solid plan for Black Panther in the long run.

Catch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever when it releases on Nov. 11.
