Daniel Craig Officially Confirms His Return As James Bond

After months of speculation, British actor Daniel Craig finally confirms his return as agent 007 in “James Bond 25.” Recently, Craig stated that he hadn’t reached a decision whether he would make his return or not. It turns out the actor would soon accept the role, in a well-played coy move.

Craig has been very vocal about his discomfort in playing “James Bond,” and the physical stress that he had to undergo just to give the character some justice. This led to fan speculation that he might not want to pursue the role anymore and move on to a different project.

After the critically divisive “Spectre,” a lot of fans hoped for his return to the role and achieve more than the expectations set by his previous Bond films like “Skyfall” and “Casino Royale.” That being said, Craig’s recent comments prove that he’s willing to return to the franchise for “James Bond 25.”

Daniel Craig Wants To Go Out On A High Note As James Bond

Craig guested on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” and discussed his return to “James Bond 25” while also clearing the air on some negative remarks that he’s made about the franchise in the past. He also dropped a huge bombshell to “James Bond” fans by confirming his return. “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.” the Bond actor said.

This comes as naturally a sweet sound to hear especially for long time fans of the Bond franchise. It’s also a hopeful improvement from Craig’s performance in “Spectre,” but it also seems like this will be his last Bond film. This means that Craig turned down a $150 million offer to return for two more Bond films. Despite this, five “James Bond” films is still a huge deal for any actor to stick through, with Craig’s predecessor Pierce Brosnan making four Bond films during his stint as the agent.
