David Harbour is a Friendly Specter in Trailer for We Have a Ghost

David Harbour has a Halloween property with Stranger Things, and Christmas movie with Violent Night; but this Valentine’s season will have him playing… a friendly ghost for Netflix.

Watch the trailer for We Have a Ghost starring Harbour, Anthony Mackie, Jennifer Coolidge, and more:

Here’s the official description:

Finding a ghost named Ernest haunting their new home turns Kevin’s family into overnight social media sensations. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of Ernest’s past, they become a target of the CIA.

The film comes from director Christopher Landon who had also delivered the body swap/slasher film Freaky as well as the Happy Death Day films. With Landon showing that he has a penchant for subverting horror tropes, it looks like he’s going to be poking fun at The Sixth Sense and Casper the Friendly Ghost with We Have a Ghost.

I have to say though, it’s kind of great that they cast Harbour in the part, as he seems to be an all-around actor these days. While he can certainly deliver some dramatic roles like what we saw in Stranger Things, he can also do some great physical work like what he did with Violent Night, Black Widow, and even the Hellboy reboot.

Watch out for We Have a Ghost when it premieres on Netflix on Feb. 24.
