GOTG Vol. 3 Set Photos Confirm Comic Accurate Star-Lord

The Guardians of the Galaxy have pretty much been sporting the same red Ravager get-up across multiple films, but it looks like they’ll have some new comic-accurate duds come Guardians Vol. 3.
Thanks to Just Jared, we have some set photos giving us a good look at Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Nebula’s (Karen Gillan) new blue outfits—plus some other kooky aliens that look like they came right out of Star Wars.
Chris Pratt and his co-stars are back on set filming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" and we have a lot of photos from today! Check it out: https://t.co/YWLLn4PUOH

While Peter Quill has mostly been spotted wearing his red jacket, we finally get to see him in blue like in the comics. I’m curious if he’s going to get a different helmet for this movie as well.
If anything, the blue costume was something that Rocket Raccoon was wearing in Avengers: Endgame, and it’s possible that the Guardians could be taking more orders from him, seeing as he was the one who was alive while everyone else disappeared for five years.
Though the movie may be far off into next year, we’ll actually get an update on the Guardians sooner than you think. They are going to be appearing in Thor: Love and Thunder, but Quill and the gang are also coming back for their own Holiday Special a la Star Wars later this year on Disney+. Maybe we’ll get a look at that when Love and Thunder comes out July.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023, but you can catch the galaxy’s favorite band of A-holes in Thor: Love and Thunder which comes out July 8 this year.
