Netflix Sets Pre-Valentine Premiere for 'To All The Boys' Sequel

For the fans of the Netflix rom-com hit, there’s no need to wait any longer. Netflix has finally set the pin down for the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel premiere. The sequel now titled To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You will hit theatres on February 12, 2020. In addition to that, the announcement also teased that the third film To All The Boys: Always and Forever Lara Jean is already on the go in production. However, no release date has been released for that one yet.

Netflix announced the news on their See What’s Next Twitter account. And they also shared a sweet little clip of To All The Boys stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo on their Instagram. In addition to Condor and Centineo, the clip also featured newcomer Jordan Fisher who’ll be Lara Jean’s new love interest in the sequel. Author Jenny Han also took to Twitter to share the news.

Completing the ‘To All The Boys’ Film Trilogy

The films are going book by book in  Han’s bestselling trilogy that follows Lara Jean’s romantic adventures. And when the film adaptation hit Netflix in 2018, it became a big hit for the streaming service. In fact, according to Deadline, Netflix revealed that half of its viewers who watched To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before rewatched it again.  Given its success, a sequel was easily in sight. According to The Wrap, Han and Condor also said that everyone in the cast would love to do a sequel. Then, later that year in December, Netflix released the news of the sequel.

The sequel will bring back Condor and Centineo together. And it might take off a moment after that ending scene in the first film where Lara Jean receives a corresponding letter from one of the other boys she crushed on. This is where Fisher comes in. Sofia Alvarez is responsible for the screenplay while Matt Kaplan and Dougie Cash will be producing. It will also be the first film under the Paramount-Netflix deal.

Matt Kaplan’s Ace Entertainment is a producer on all three films. And it is joined by Overbrook Entertainment and AwesomenessTV which was acquired by Viacom last year. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before director Susan Johnson is also joining the sequel as an executive producer.
