New Across the Spider-Verse Spot Reveals Spider-Cat and Spider-Rex

We know that the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film will feature different variations of Spider-Man across the multiverse, but they didn’t really explain just how crazy things were going to get.

In a new TV spot for the film, we have reveals for both Spider-Cat and Spider-Rex, all of them after Miles. Check it:

What’s interesting is, we actually see a Spider-Cat in the video game Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but this one looks to be a variation that actually has powers (and is a bit more on the hefty side).

Granted, we haven’t really seen all the Spider-Men we’re expected to meet in the previews, as there is supposed to be a Cyborg Spider-Woman, and we’ve only really seen her in toy form online.

Though I would have preferred if they just marketed the movie to have Miles going up against the Spot, the trailers didn’t hold back when it was revealed that Miles would be going up against all the other Spider-Men. I guess audiences will now know what they’re in for, but I have a feeling we can already tell where the story goes.

Hopefully I’m wrong.

Here’s the synopsis:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse comes to cinemas on June 2.
