New Poster and Teaser Released for Evil Dead Rise Ahead of Trailer Drop
Published 3 months ago
It was 2013 the last time we got an Evil Dead movie in theaters, and while we got Evil Dead in TV and games, we haven’t gotten any kind o return to the big screen. The great news is, Evil Dead Rises is set to come to theaters this April, and we have a new poster and teaser ahead of the trailer drop.
Here’s the new poster as well:

Here’s the official description:
Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, “Evil Dead Rise” tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.
With the 2013 movie essentially bringing the franchise back to its pure horror roots, it seems that Evil Dead Rise is going the same direction, only this time, the demons will be unleashed in an apartment building in the middle of a city rather than an isolated cabin in the woods.
Admittedly the Evil Dead franchise has always played fast and loose with its tone, with the ‘original trilogy’ ending in some kind of fantasy/comedy/horror vibe with Army of Darkness.
Evil Dead Rise is said to be rebooting the franchise once more, but I would honestly love to see some more of that goofy humor in a more modern setting should the franchise take off in cinemas again.
Catch Evil Dead Rise when it comes to cinemas on April 21.
