No Hard Feelings: Jennifer Lawrence Goes Full Raunchy Comedy in Red Band Trailer

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has been in films like Silver Linings Playbook and mother!, and though she has the status of a ‘serious’ actress, it looks like she’s going to be in the spotlight of an upcoming raunchy comedy film.

Check out the trailer for No Hard Feelings:

Here’s the official description for the film:

Jennifer Lawrence produces and stars in No Hard Feelings, a laugh-out-loud, edgy comedy from director Gene Stupnitsky (Good Boys) and the co-writer of Bad Teacher.

On the brink of losing her childhood home, Maddie (Lawrence) discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he leaves for college. To her surprise, Maddie soon discovers the awkward Percy is no sure thing.

Admittedly, it’s pretty odd to see Lawrence in a role that’s really outside of her usual wheelhouse, but she has always been known to be a fun quirky personality off-camera, so maybe No Hard Feelings is something closer to her actual interests. If anything, her being attached as a producer could mean that she’s personally invested, and that’s really what matters (to me, at least).

We don’t know how No Hard Feelings will manage to stand out in today’s comedy climate, but I thought Good Boys was pretty fun, and it would be interesting to see Lawrence in a role where she can breath a little bit and have some laughs.

No Hard Feelings is set to release in theaters this summer.
