Pandora Grows in New Trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water

Avengers: Endgame may have dethroned Avatar as the highest-grossing movie of all time, but James Cameron is ready to strike back with another stab at his blue cat people franchise. Avatar: The Way of Water is set to come out in a month, and 20th Century Studios has dropped a fantastic new trailer.
Though Jake Sully had been the protagonist of the first movie, it looks like the sequel will be handing over the reins to his children. I guess the interesting twist in the story is, though Jake was an outsider that grew to love the Na’Vi in the first Avatar, this sequel will be focused on his children who have had to grow up with parents from two different cultures.
With the first movie coming out in 2009, we can see just how much the special effects have evolved, and Pandora looks more beautiful than ever. Though the forests and the sky were pretty enough in the first film, we’re now set to take the planet in James Cameron’s element which is the water; and we’re going to be exposed to a lot more cultures and tribes that were barely touched in the first movie.
Jake Sully and Ney’tiri have formed a family and are doing everything to stay together. However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat resurfaces, Jake must fight a difficult war against the humans.
Return to Pandora when Avatar: The Way of Water hits theaters on Dec. 16.
