Rami Malek Channels His Inner Freddie Mercury in New 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Photo

The latest photo for Bryan Singer’s Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” reveals a more accurate look at how Rami Malek does his take on the rock icon Freddie Mercury. The “iRobot” actor has been stirring the flames ever since a first look photo was released featuring Malek as Mercury. The upcoming biopic will focus on the events leading up to Queen’s legendary performance during “Live Aid,” 1985’s biggest benefit concert in history.
Aside from the photos, a video featuring Malek performing as Mercury also leaked online (and deleted since then), and frankly, it’s downright creepy and amazing how accurate his portrayal is of the late rock singer.

Promotion for “Bohemian Rhapsody” hasn’t officially begun, but Singer is definitely up for pre-promotion duties. He recently posted a photo on his Instagram page that shows Malek rocking it on stage as Freddie Mercury. As far as accuracy and authenticity are concerned, we won’t have to worry about it because Malek plays it too well. Check out the photo for yourself:

Judging by the image, this was definitely taken during a live performance scene for “Bohemian Rhapsody.” You can almost hear the song playing while looking at the image! As compared to last September’s first look photo, this one appears to show Mercury later in his life with the band, considering how the mustache looks like.
So far, we’ve only seen Malek as Mercury in photos released for “Bohemian Rhapsody.” We have yet to see images of the other members of the band—Brian May (played by Gwilyn Lee), Roger Taylor (Ben Hardy), and John Deacon (Joe Mazzello). While Mazzello and Hardy are seen in the background, it’s still not enough to even make out their prominent features.
Nonetheless, it’s exciting to see the wheels going for the film, which is currently in post-production and slated for a December 25, 2018 release date.
