New 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Trailer Rumored To Drop Next Month

We’re only three months away from the premiere of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” where we’ll finally witness the “end of the Jedi.” (Hopefully not.) So far, we’ve only seen one trailer, and numerous magazine covers promoting the next “Star Wars” entry. However, a brand new rumor is circulating that a full trailer for Episode VIII will finally be released next month—specifically October 9th.
You’ve got to admit, Disney and Lucasfilm have both been doing well when it comes to the marketing of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in the midst of director shakeups for the “Young Han Solo” movie and Episode IX. What’s even more impressive is that despite the lack of footage and information about the film, it continues to gain attention (even getting more by the day). The first trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” debuted back in April, during the “Star Wars Celebration” in Orlando. It was this same trailer that got fans freaking out over the fate of the Jedi.

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ trailer coming this October?

Star Wars Net revealed the rumor on Twitter earlier today. According to the tweet, a long time source told them that October 9 would see the release of the latest trailer. While this sounds very exciting, there is no official confirmation from Disney nor Lucasfilm.
However, Mark Hamill did say (in a now-deleted tweet) that we should all watch out for Monday Night Football “for no reason in particular.” Yes, Hamill might just be trolling here, but it’s also entirely possible given how unexpected the marketing for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is. But then again, Hamill and the film’s director Rian Johnson urges fans to stay away from indulging too much in marketing materials for “The Last Jedi” to avoid potential spoilers—at least, until December comes along.
Nonetheless, it’s unclear if we should trust this source or not. The only thing left for “Star Wars” fans to do is wait patiently—after all, it’s their only hope.
