Scream VI: The Reno 911! Team Gets Briefed on Ghostface

The Scream franchise has always toed the line between horror and meta-humor, so it’s no surprise that they would ask the Reno 911! team to help promote the release of Ghostface’s latest rampage.

In a new short clip, we have Lt. Dangle briefing Deputy Garcia and Deputy Wiegel about a new serial killer on the loose. Check this out:

The clip basically just has Garcia, Wiegel, and Dangle talking in the briefing room, and we get the usual silly improv from the characters. With the whole movie taking place in New York, though, the Reno team realize they don’t really have anything to worry about when it comes to Ghostface… until Trudy gets a call from a familiar voice.

The movie had released last Friday, and is currently sitting on a Fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes. It’s very likely that number can change throughout the run, but for now, everyone is raving about Ghostface’s new murder spree.

In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.

Scream VI is now in theaters. Reno 911! is now streaming on Paramount+.
