Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Toys Give First Look at Cyborg Spider-Woman

We know that a lot of familiar faces from Into the Spider-Verse will be showing up in Across the Spider-Verse, but we have yet to get a reveal of all the new incoming characters. Thanks to a toy leak though, we have a good look at Cyborg Spider-Woman.

Though there is an established Cyborg version of Spider-Man in the comics, the toy is unmistakably printed Cyborg Spider-Woman. Even though the character is genderbent, some design elements are clearly lifted off the Spider-Man version of the character.

Cyborg Spider-Man may be just as nimble as the classic Spidey, but it looks like this revamp of the character makes them more of a tank. We don’t know if Miles will be going up against Cyborg Spider-Woman in the film, but I’m guessing that this sequel could focus on some kind of “Spider-Man Civil War”. After all, it didn’t look like Spider-Man 2099 was being friendly with Miles when he was pushing him around in the first look.  

We don’t know when Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man film will come out, but Across the Spider-Verse is probably my most anticipated Spider-project. No offense to Sony’s Spidey spinoffs, but Venom and Morbius are pretty much steps back in the genre, and until we get a look at Kraven the Hunter, I’m not really holding my breath in excitement.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part 1 comes to theaters on June 2, 2023.
