Steven Yeun Goes Full Youth Pastor in Clip from Beef

Netflix Beef has been getting a lot of buzz online, and it deserves all the praise since the show is absolutely crazy. One of the most unexpected scenes in the series was the transformation of Danny (Steven Yeun) into a devout Christian, and we have a new clip of him going full youth pastor performing Amazing Grace.

Check this out:

What’s funny is, Yeun actually has history as a youth minister. In a recent interview with Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast, Yeun explained how he also led the band in his youth group, and how he was also playing Christian music for his community for years before moving on to acting.

Like I said, Beef has been receiving some rave reviews with sparkling praises being sung about Ali Wong and Yeun’s performances. We don’t know if the show is going to get a second season yet, but the door is pretty much open for all the characters.

Personally, I think the series could perfectly end with the first season, but if they do decide to push forward, I imagine the premise would have to change for Beef and have the conflict be between different characters this time. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I definitely recommend anyone to check the show out.

Here’s the description for the series:

Two people let a road rage incident burrow into their minds and slowly consume their every thought and action.

Beef starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong is now streaming on Netflix.
