Synopsis for The Marvels Revealed

It was 2019 when Captain Marvel  got her solo movie, and one Marvel phase later, we’re going to see her team-up with her protégés in the upcoming film The Marvels. Marvel Studios has pretty much kept the story under wraps, but we now have an official synopsis via the Disney Press website.

Captain Marvel’s return was actually teased by the end of Ms. Marvel where it’s implied that Carol accidentally switches places with Kamala Khan, leaving her back on Earth. We don’t know how she meets Kamala again, but I can imagine Ms. Marvel freaking out when it’s revealed she’s suddenly teleported to space.

As for Monica Rambeau, she was teased to have earned her powers via Scarlet Witch in the series WandaVision. It’s not clear what she can do yet, but we can imagine it’s in the same vein as the cosmic powers that Carol has.

I’ll admit, I was kind of hoping for another solo adventure with Carol for her next movie, but I’m also open to her having her own team of Marvels to go up against the Kree (again). Who knows, maybe this all ties in with whatever is going to be happening in Secret Invasion which is also set to come out in 2023.

We don’t know when Marvel is going to make their big reveal for The Marvels, but I’m guessing we could get our first teaser around the time of the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania around February.

The Marvels comes to theaters on July 28, 2023.
