The Little Mermaid: Watch Halle Bailey Perform ‘Part of Your World’ Live at Disneyland

With Ariel’s singing voice such an integral part of the story, it was absolutely necessary for Disney to cast someone with amazing vocals for the role of Ariel in The Little Mermaid. With Halle Bailey set to enter the spotlight as the live-action Ariel, she hypes up the film’s release by singing Part of Your World live at Disneyland.

Check this out:

As expected, the vocals are still amazing, and I can’t wait to see Bailey on the big screen complete with all the dazzling visuals that Disney is expected to deliver. With Ariel having such a powerful voice during musical numbers, it really hits home when Ursula takes it away from her, seeing that it was such an integral part of the character.

Though live-action Disney remakes are rarely critical darlings, they still make a lot of money in the box office, and The Little Mermaid is expected to do the same. I’m just wondering if the sequel will actually follow The Little Mermaid II and introduce us to Ariel’s daughter Melody.

“The Little Mermaid,” visionary filmmaker Rob Marshall’s live-action reimagining of the studio’s Oscar®-winning animated musical classic, opens exclusively in theaters nationwide May 26, 2023. “The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

The Little Mermaid swings into theaters on May 19.
