Bumblebee may have taken the spotlight in his own movie, but the Autobots are set to return in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Just in, we have a new featurette giving us a look at the new characters.
Check this out:
While we already know all about Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, we have a close look at the new character Mirage who’s voiced by Pete Davidson. We also get a closer look at the human characters Noah (Anthony Ramos) and Elena (Dominique Fishback), who seem to be the main human pair for the film; but it’s still unclear whether it will be a romance since Noah already has his own family when the movie starts.
Oddly enough, we don’t get a closer look at the Maximals or the new Autobots like Arcee and Sideswipe. I guess the movie just wanted to focus on the onscreen actors more, and Pete Davidson is pretty recognizable.
Hopefully we get a more extensive character breakdown soon, because I would also like to see who’s on the Terrorcon team in this film. What about a special featurette on planet-eater Unicron?
Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformers – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for earth.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts rolls into theaters on June 9.
