Upcoming Movies to Look Forward to this 2018

Excited for the films that are going to make your 2018 more worthwhile? Better not miss it because it’s going to be a year of ‘finals’ and new kinds of stories. Don’t miss out on any genre because the trend nowadays seems to like having a combination of both. It’s definitely going to be an interesting year for the film industry and the viewers. So without further ado, here are movies you should look forward to this year:

Upcoming Movies for 2018 You Shouldn’t Miss:

Avengers: Infinity War (May 4)

It’s that movie where all your favorite Marvel superheroes like Iron Man, Hulk, etc., come together to save the Universe from expiring into nothing but space dust. And while the world’s existence has always been ‘uncertain’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in this film, it’s ‘really’ uncertain. Okay, you guys. We get it.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’s’ official release will be in May 2018, and its sequel, on May 2019. So try not to be the guy who watches it like, a day before the sequel, yeah?

Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25)

For all the ‘Star Wars’ fans out there, here’s a unique film that takes a different perspective on the world of ‘Star Wars.’ It follows the story of an ordinary character—a smuggler named Han Solo, how he meets Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi and their untold adventure together.
Another interesting thing about this film is that John Williams returns to compose a theme for it. Hooray! ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ will be released on May.

The Incredibles 2 (June 15)

Fourteen years after its prequel, ‘The Incredibles,’ grown-up fans of the old Disney/Pixar film are looking forward to continuing the story. It’s seriously been too long—as if all the kids who watched it before are now adulting. But heck, ‘The Incredibles’ hasn’t lost it! Don’t  miss it on the big screen this June!

A Wrinkle in Time (March 9)

This fantasy-science fiction film is something you need to watch with your family. It’s about the mysterious discovery of a scientist father, and his kids are left to understand this world– and a bigger world their father left them in. It stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Zach Galifianakis, Chris Pine, and more! Kids on an out-of-this-world-and-time-adventure? Sounds pretty neat! ‘ A Wrinkle in Time’ releases on March.

Black Panther (February 16)

It’s about time for some of the sexiest characters in Marvel to get his own movie—the Black Panther as played by Chadwick Boseman. Watch as he puts on his sweet gear and protects his nation from an old enemy. “Black Panther” is out in February!

Deadpool 2 (June 1)

Aside from the sexiest on the batch, we also get to see the funniest. And it’s no doubt that ‘Deadpool’ was received warmly because of his wit and jest that earned gags from the audience. Well, the wait is over this year, because Ryan Reynolds is back to play this comical superhero and a new adventure this May.

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again (July 20)

While we may be disappointed to see a lot less of Meryl Streep on this film, we are fortunate enough to be introduced to Sophie’s grandmother: Cher. Cheers to another story—a deeper dive into Donna Sheridan’s youth to be played by Lily James of ‘Cinderella.’ But more importantly, cheers to the songs we get to sing again! Watch out for the film-musical this July.

Insidious: The Last Key (January 5)

To finish the ‘Insidious’ trilogy, don’t miss parapsychologist Elise as she returns to defeat the biggest evil she has ever faced. And while there may be more horror movies coming up this 2018, nothing will beat the history of chills that ‘Insidious’ has left before us. Get a taste of some of Elise’s personal hauntings this January!

Maze Runner: The Death Cure (January 24)

Here’s another final attempt at Thomas and the Gladers as they embark on another—and maybe the last—adventure to solve a missing piece that builds their existence. They are going to be ‘breaking back in’ to WCKD this January.

Ocean’s 8 (February 20)

We’re all for some comedy, right? And here are eight interesting women and their mission to steal and look fabulous at the same time. The film stars Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, and pop-artist Rihanna too! Catch these thieves this June!

Fifty Shades Freed (February 9)

It’s been a tradition, yes. This year’s Valentine’s day, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele’s love story is going to end. And while we all may expect it to be a happy ending, we just may never be sure. It’s not hard to memorize its release really, so watch the final installment!

Isle of Dogs (March 23)

This adventure-comedy stop-motion animated film from Director Wes Anderson is definitely going to be more than what meets the eye. It’s a film that everyone should watch because the storytelling is top-notch, the visuals are astounding, and… it’s about dogs. If you love dogs and if you want to see another Wes Anderson art piece, visit the cinema this March!
And of course, there are tons more films that are releasing their trailers, posters, everything they can throw at you. Stars like Liam Neeson are still in the industry so expect them and their films this year too. And more importantly, get your updates only here at TV Movie Fix!
