Watch the Cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi Look Back at the Making of the Show

With the Kenobi series having wrapped last week, fans can now enjoy the full series now available on Disney+. Just in, we have a BTS featurette that has all the principal actors and director Deborah Chow looking back at the creation of the show.

Watch this:

Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen discuss stepping back into their defining roles. All episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi are now streaming on Disney+.

Unlike The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi definitely had a story it wanted to tell with Kenobi specifically, and it wasn’t bogged down by a sudden shift in focus to other characters. That being said, it is kind of a shame that we didn’t get to enjoy the full spectacle of Star Wars with Kenobi, but Chow was said to have preferred the project to be a series in order to really develop the characters.

The show actually ends with a lot of room for a follow-up. It was said that the Kenobi film was originally envisioned as a trilogy, and we’re just seeing the arc of the first movie. A second season hasn’t officially been announced, but with all this buzz and the season finally completed, maybe Lucasfilm will announce a follow-up soon.

I still have my fingers crossed that they turn it into a movie, because if there’s one thing they should have learned from Solo, it was not that anthology films don’t work, but release dates and marketing definitely matter when it comes to the success of the film.

Catch the full season of Obi-Wan Kenobi now on Disney+.
