Black Panther 2: Leaked Promo Art Gives Possible First Look at Ironheart

Dominique Thorne may be set to get her own Disney+ series with Ironheart, but she is set to make her character debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which is expected to hit theaters later this year. Marvel Studios hasn’t dropped any trailer for the movie yet, but some promo art may have just given us a first look at Riri as well as returning characters Okoye, Nakia, and Shuri.

The put-together look is pretty accurate to Riri’s comic origin, since she was known to have built her own Iron Man armor out of scratch. While it doesn’t look like anything that Tony built in the cave (with a box of scraps) it does have that DIY feel to the design, with the arc reactor made to look like heart. I may also be looking at the image wrong, but looks like she could have some oversized shoulders not too different from Samus Aran’s from Metroid.

If anything, I am always up for more extreme shapes for the Iron Man armor, since they’ve started to look pretty generic since the first Avengers movie.

Though a lot of people are excited for Riri, we shouldn’t forget that the main focus of the film is supposed to be the Black Panther—whoever that’s going to be in the film. While some are hoping that Marvel just recast T’Challa like Chadwick Boseman allegedly wanted, some think that they could be passing the mantle over to Shuri who will take over the role.

Until we get the first trailer, we’ll just have to wait and see.
