Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Gets Action-Packed New Trailer

March will see the release of the Dungeons & Dragons movie, and a lot of fans are excited for the official adaptation coming to the big screen. Just in, we have a new trailer, and it showcases more fun fantasy adventures that are reminiscent of a modern D&D campaign.

A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.

While cinema has kind of been over-serious when it comes to fantasy titles like Lord of the Rings, Dungeons & Dragons looks to be making a mix of serious lore with the character sensibilities of modern players. While I am interested in watching the world come to life, I’m curious if the film is going to be able to make references to the actual tabletop game with things like 20-sided dice or character sheets.

I’ll admit, I think it’s pretty hard to get an adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons with all its cultural context, but with the way Honor Among Thieves looks, it could be a fun adventure for long-time players and audiences who have no idea what D&D is.
