Mark Naird and His Team are Back in New Trailer for Space Force 2

After The Office and Parks and Recreation, Greg Daniels has teamed up with Netflix to bring us a new workplace comedy in the form of Space Force starring Steve Carell. The series is now set to premiere its second season, and we have a new trailer featuring Mark Naird (Carell) and his kooky band of scientists and astronauts.
Like the first season, we should also expect Season 2 to have some celebrity cameos. So far the trailer confirms an appearance from Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows (who also appeared in a memorable guest appearance on The Office) and Patton Oswalt who played a troublesome geek in Parks and Recreation.
Admittedly, the first season of Space Force wasn’t perfect, but if you look at Daniels’ track record, the same could be said for a lot of his most celebrated shows. Hopefully by this second season, the writers have found out what works and what doesn’t with the series, and we can have that signature blend of comedy that made The Office and so much more of Daniels’ work so memorable. \
While Carell is at the center of the series, I personally think his character of Mark Naird is the one that needs the most work. If anything, they’re trying to make a Michael Scott-like character who is kind of a moron that is good at his job, but instead of being a people-pleaser, Naird is a hardened military man.
Fingers crossed that Naird (and the rest of the characters) become more well-rounded and likeable in Season 2.
Catch Space Force Season 2 when it returns on Netflix on Feb. 18.
