Netflix Drops New Trailer for Kid Cudi’s Entergalactic
Published 3 weeks ago
We’ll have to wait until next year until we can get Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in theaters, but you can check out that signature comic art style with an upcoming series on Netflix called Entergalactic.
The show is set to come out at the end of September, and we have a new trailer showcasing the great animation and star-studded cast. Watch this:
Here’s the official synopsis:
Jabari, a charming, streetwear-clad artist on the cusp of real success. After a chance run-in with his cool new photographer neighbor, Meadow, Jabari has to figure out whether he can make space for love in his life.
Scott Miscudi, who is the creator of the show, is also cast in the lead role of Jibari, with Jessica Williams and Laura Harrier playing his love interests. Besides the stars announces in the trailer including Vanessa Hudgens and Timothee Chalamet, the show also features voices from other stars like Keith David, Jaden Smith, and Macaulay Culkin.
Like I said, the series pretty much adopts that comic-book look that was popularized by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but we shouldn’t expect Entergalactic to visualize any of the Pow! Thwip! sounds that we got in the film.
I also have to say, I’m loving the animated caricatures of the actors, specifically that of Williams and Harrier who look spot-on. We don’t know what the other characters in the series look like yet, but I’m sure that the series will attempt to really capture the feel of each actor.
Entergalactic stars streaming on Netflix on Sept. 30.
