New Elf Character Revealed for Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

Amazon’s Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power already had quite the ensemble, but it looks like the second season is going to have even more characters taking the spotlight.

As per @FellowshipFans, a new elven character will be introduced and she will be named Mirdania. Here’s the post:

No details have been revealed about the character, but the word mirdain in Sindarin means ‘jewel-smith’ which could be a hint at her abilities. Then again, with the elven rings having been forged by the end of the first season, I wonder what use another elven smith would be for the series.

Wasn’t it Sauron that forged the rest of the rings for the dwarves and the men? Will he be taking another form every season to continue fooling the rest of Middle-earth? Only the elves and the Numenorians know what Halbrand looks like, right?

So far, Rings of Power feels like a fine addition to the Tolkien world. It may not be as scandalous as House of the Dragon, but it does offer some nice, complicated fantasy that is a perfect return to Middle-earth. I don’t know if newcomers to the franchise will love it, but anyone familiar with the lore will be happy to see the world alive and well again.

No release date has been set for the second season of Rings of Power, but you can catch the complete season one now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
