Newest Han Solo Movie Tease Features Donald Glover As Lando Calrissian

In another juicy tease from “Han Solo” Movie director Ron Howard, a new photo from the set reveals Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian aboard the Millennium Falcon. This new preview comes just after a day the director tweeted a shot of Chewbacca (seen below) looking at a couple of monitors on set.

Though Disney remains secretive over the details of the standalone Han Solo film, Howard has been dropping a few trickles of info at a time on social media—though nothing is actually revealed about the plot. Howard was hired to take over the helm after the studio and Lucasfilm decided to fire original directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller; reportedly due to them veering away from Lawrence Kasdan’s script and taking improvisation too far even for the actors.

The director’s latest spoiler-free photo, posted on his Instagram, shows Howard in front of two monitors. One of which shows Donald Glover in character as Lando Calrissian albeit a younger version of the space gambler, pilot and previous owner of the Millennium Falcon. He is also shown in what appears to be the Falcon’s cockpit. Check out the photo below:

In addition to this image, Howard also previously posted another photo tease on Twitter, this time featuring a costume closet. He challenged his followers to guess which among the actors the closet belonged to. The director’s strategic teases look like a concerted effort to shift the focus away from the negative flak it is getting since the firing of Lord and Miller.

After the previous directors were fired, the best and smartest decision that Lucasfilm did was to immediately hire Howard as a replacement. He’s known to be a veteran director who could swiftly step in and fix things. Howard has also demonstrated an expert way of handling tease games, and so we can actually look forward to more of these as the Han Solo film continues shooting.
