The Cast of Avatar: The Way of Water Release PSA to ‘Keep Our Oceans Amazing’

If director James Cameron is known for one thing besides his movies, it’s his love for the ocean, and he gets to bring his franchise into the waters of Pandora with Avatar: The Way of Water. We know the film is set to release this December, but we have a new PSA featuring the cast of the film promoting the Nature Conservancy’s push to ‘Keep Our Oceans Amazing.’
To celebrate the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, Disney and Avatar are supporting The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to protect 10 of our ocean’s amazing animals and their habitats, connected to the beauty of Pandora. Together, we can keep our oceans amazing and help achieve TNC’s global goal of protecting 10 percent of the ocean by 2030.
With the first movie’s themes centered on the preservation of nature and the importance of life, I think the sequel is going to be embracing those same themes—only instead of the sky, Jake and his family will be taking to water.
Pandora amazed audiences with its lush and colourful world back in 2009, and with modern VFX having advanced the way it has, I can’t wait to see Cameron bring us back to the world with some enhanced visuals and more sophisticated filmmaking techniques.
Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
Avatar: The Way of Water comes to cinemas on Dec. 16.
