Things Get Trippy in New Trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Kang the Conqueror may be the main villain of the next Avengers movie, but he’s set to take center stage first in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Just in, Marvel Studios has dropped the first trailer for the film, and it promises one heck of a trip to the Quantum Realm.

The simple synopsis reads:

Ant-Man and the Wasp battle Kang the Conqueror in the quantum realm.

 While both Ant-Man films that we got have been grounded mostly on Earth and have centered on Scott Lang pulling off some kind of heist, this time it looks like Ant-Man and his family are going to be thrust into a whole new realm filled with all kinds of kooks and aliens (and Bill Murray). Since heists are kind of at the core of the franchise, I think Kang will be forcing Ant-Man to steal something for him; and that’s where I expect things will go horribly wrong.

Or, this is just my theory, things actually go right, but the thing that Ant-Man will steal will bring about the Avengers-level threat that will be at the center of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Admittedly, the Ant-Man franchise has been the most mid out of all the other Marvel properties, but I think that’s what’s great about them. They all feel like very contained adventures, but maybe with Quantumania we could expect something different.
