Wednesday Interrogates Thing in New Clip

While we do have a lot of creepy shows incoming this Halloween, fans have been wondering when Netflix would release their Addams Family spinoff Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega.

Thanks to TUDUM 2022, we now have a release date, as well as a new clip of Wednesday interrogating Thing. Watch this:

Watch an exclusive clip for WEDNESDAY, an upcoming Netflix series from the imagination of Tim Burton. WEDNESDAY — starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci and more — is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Snap snap.

We don’t know why Netflix would have the series come out a month after Halloween, but I guess they really wanted the property to be the only spooky thing when it came out. With October fast approaching, we’re already getting bombarded with several other horror properties that are a perfect fit for the season. Having Wednesday release close to Christmas would give it time to shine by itself.

If anything Ortega definitely looks the part, and it feels like her character is a natural evolution of the Wednesday Addams we get in the movies. I’ll admit, some of the dialogue is a bit iffy, but it definitely fits the character, and I can’t wait to see Wednesday just be a monotone vacuum of chaos once she enters the already chaotic-looking Nevermore Academy.

Wednesday comes to Netflix on Nov. 23.
