“Uninvited Guests” saw Team Pearson Specter Litt against the ropes as a host of familiar faces made an appearance in Suits’ penultimate episode.

Following a night of unexpected revelations (none of which featured Mike’s fake law degree) heads will inevitably roll in next week’s summer finale. The only question is who’s?

While Louis – and Donna – feel at least semi responsible for all that has happened, Harvey looks like he may be the one to take the bullet if there is no other way to save the firm.

Can Pearson Specter Litt escape Daniel Hardman’s aggressive takeover without losing Harvey in the process?

And will Mike and Rachel’s wedding plans dissolve under the weight of good intentions?

Let’s recap!

The First Cut is the Deepest

It’s Decision Day for Harvey, as the board meets to decide whether to oust him or forgive and forget. Perhaps surprisingly, Harvey is saved by the skin of his teeth when he manages to earn enough votes to avoid being suspended – and make a generous contribution to the partners. Will the newly patched up team PSL be strong enough for the impending Hardman assault?

The predicted attack is revealed when Soloff proposes that Hardman be allowed to return if he shares a billion dollar client with the firm. Jessica refuses to take it to vote and adjourns the meeting. Is Jack just protecting himself? Or is he really committed to his partnership with Hardman?

Jessica, Harvey and Louis now hit the drawing board as war is upon them. Louis approaches Soloff and manages to gather an insight into his motives. Louis desperately tries to redeem himself with his peers as he searches for Daniel Hardman’s leverage over Jack Soloff, but he is left at odds when he finds nothing.

Louis, determined as before to find a way to save the firm, proposes that Jessica make Soloff named partner in exchange for Soloff publicly cutting ties with Hardman.

However, Queen Jessica takes Louis’ plan and twists it, instead deciding to threaten Soloff into confessing what leverage Hardman has over him. It doesn’t work and Soloff further warns Jessica that Hardman and his client won’t back down and it is in fact she who should resign.

Harvey and Mike have better luck as ‘Magic’ Mike hatches an intricate plan to raise the funds to beat Hardman’s offer by playing Tony Giannopoulos and Jonathan Sidwell off against each other. The plan works and they manage to get double what Hardman has to offer.

Meanwhile, Harvey suspects the driving force behind Hardman is a lot closer to home than he is letting on, and pays old foe  Charles Forstman a visit at his minimum security prison. Forstman reveals that he is Hardman’s monetary backer, and that he just wants the pleasure of witnessing Harvey tell Jessica ‘I quit,’ promising him that as soon as he does, he will withdraw Hardman’s funding. Harvey is left with an impossible decision. He must quit PSL in order to save it.

Based from the previews from next week’s episode we are in for quite an explosive finale. Thankfully Jessica has revealed herself as Jesus because team PSL is going to need a miracle.
