Bones Season 12 Series Finale Spoiler: Brennan And Booth Not Leaving Jobs

“Bones” Season 12 returns to Fox on Jan. 3 2017 to kick-off final season to close the series. Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, who portray Temperance “Bones” Brennan and FBI Agent Seeley Booth, respectively, are saying goodbye to their remarkable characters inspired by “X-Files.” A report from TV Line confirms the power couple is not going to leave their jobs. At least not in the same way they did before.

‘Bones’ Season 12 Finale: Happy Ending for Brennan and Booth?

In the finale of “Bones” Season 11 (spoiler alert), viewers learned that Dr. Zachary Uriah Addy (Eric Millegan) has gone deeply dark. This time around, it seems no one is asking him to do things; he is merely doing what he wants, which is to stay close to her mentor, Dr. Brennan.

Booth and the team at Jeffersonian are heartbroken. Their baby brother Zack has gone astray and there is no more Dr. Sweets to help them out. It remains to be seen whether the writers would prolong the arc with Zack. But this is a good way to wrap up the series in a way that brings closure to many fans who have missed Zack since he left several years ago.

“Booth and Brennan will not be walking away from their respective jobs to start a new, less-dangerous life,” writes TV Line’s Matt Webb Mitovich. This is one of the Bones Season 12 spoilers that fans can take away while waiting for the series to return. Series boss Michael Peterson told Mitovich the writers are not going to repeat what has already happened. Fans hoping for a happy ending are not likely to get disappointed, however. After what they’ve been through, Brennan and Booth should leave fans smiling despite the series ending.

In a bonus spoiler, Mitovich has revealed the title of the “Bones” series finale: “The End in the End.” Tune in Tuesdays on Fox from Jan. 3 to watch the series as it unfolds its final chapter.
