CONFIRMED: Walt and Jesse will be in the Final Season of Better Call Saul

While Better Call Saul stands pretty well with its own characters, there is always the ghost of Saul’s greatest villain (or rather ‘client’), Walter White. Fans have been speculating for a while when Walt and Jesse will appear on the show, and it’s been confirmed that they will indeed be coming to the final season.

As per Variety, series co-creator Peter Gould had confirmed at PaleyFest that the dynamic duo of Heisenberg and Captain Cook will be coming to this season of Better Call Saul. He confirms:

“I don’t want to spoil things for the audience, but I will say the first question we had when we started the show was, ‘Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah… How or the circumstances or anything, you’ll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that’s one of many things that I think you’ll discover this season.”

There are several ways that Walt and Jesse could show up in the series, seeing that BCS likes to jump around the timeline. While we probably won’t be seeing them in the future timeline with ‘Gene’, the show has already jumped into the middle of Breaking Bad in the scene before Saul Goodman makes his escape; maybe we can meet Walt and Jesse when they first come to Saul. My guess is we’ll be watching Saul’s side of his first Breaking Bad episode where Walt and Jesse coerce him into freeing Badger.

At this point, anyone’s guess is as good as mine.

Catch Better Call Saul when its final season premieres on AMC on April 18.
