Demi Lovato To Guest Star On ‘Will & Grace’ Third And Final Season

After a few years of not appearing on our television screens in any acting roles, pop star Demi Lovato is ready to go back to her acting roots. On Tuesday, the Sorry Not Sorry singer posted a photo of herself on Instagram lounging on the couch with a script in her hands on the Will & Grace set. She captioned it with a short but sweet “Will & Grace & Demi.”

Before her announcement post, Lovato has been teasing the news on Instagram telling her fans that she was working on a “secret project.” She was also notably absent at the 2019 VMA’s. And in explanation, the singer posted a story saying she skipped it “for a reason.”

Lovato will be joining Will & Grace as Jenny, a guarded girl who comes into the life of Eric McCormack’s Will. According to The Wrap, Lovato will appear as Jenny in three episodes when the show returns for the last time next year.

On the same day that Lovato posted her announcement photo, McCormack also posted a photo of him and Lovato in each other’s arms on set Will & Grace. His caption went by “First shot with Ms. @ddlovato” with the hashtag #WillandGrace. Sean Hayes who plays Jack also posted a selfie of him and the singer with huge smiling faces. His caption read “Demi Lovato fitting in perfectly here at W&G.” with a smiley and heart emoji.

On the other hand, Debra Messing who plays the titular character of Grace expressed her excitement on the comments section of Lovato’s post. “DEMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!! You are so sweet. I am so happy you came to play with us! You are now officially part of the family,” Messing wrote.

According to TheWrap, Lovato will be joining Will & Grace alums Matt Bomer, Vanessa Byer, and Blythe Danner on the final season of Will & Grace. Bomer will be coming back as Will’s boyfriend McCoy Whitman. Bayer will be back as a bakery owner from Karen’s past named Amy. And last but not least, Danner will be returning as Marilyn Truman, Will’s mother.

Lovato’s most recent on-screen works include her stint on 2016’s From Dusk till Dawn: The Series. She also voiced characters on the animated films Charming and Smurfs: The Last Village. She is also reportedly starring in a new Netflix comedy series titled Eurovision opposite Will Ferrell.
