Game of Thrones Season 7: Should We Be Expecting Littlefinger's Death Soon?

It’s at this point in “Game of Thrones” where it’s slowly climbing up to its ultimate climax and where we look back to the kings and pawns who have lost their way. And as graves are counted, there’s this particular character who manages to hide under an invisible cloak and shadows himself behind the backs of his victims. Who might that be? None other than the conniving strategist Petyr Baelish himself. Will he manage to still cheat his way to the end of Season 7? Or are we witnessing the last of his deception?

Every after an episode of “Game of Thrones,” there always seems to be a clip of Littlefinger in deep thought. His mind is always running, and his eyes often straying back to Sansa. Just what is going on in Petyr Baelish’s head? That’s the million dollar question! It’s mighty time to analyze what Littlefinger, the con man, is up to.

But first, if you haven’t read about the latest episode, “Eastwatch” yet, it’s high time you did.

As much as we are expecting a big power move by our notorious schemer, he doesn’t seem to be the type to make a huge commotion. He is quiet and quick, like a mouse moving about while everything on the surface crashes beneath him. Just like poisoning Joffrey which was delivered by Sansa, and dropped into Joffrey’s wine by Olenna Tyrell.

Looking at Littlefinger and listening to his claims of loyalty to the sovereign Starks, most “Game of Thrones” fans would brush him off. Because while he’s all talk about looking out for the Starks in the North, he’s still got hidden agendas he can’t seem to tell anyone. The only person who actually stayed long enough to figure him out was Sansa—who, oddly, isn’t saying anything about it. She may even be totally ignorant of it or, she could be considering the plan.

Then again, this hypothetical plan is unknown, and right now Littlefinger is slowly stirring up trouble by possibly conspiring against Arya and Sansa. But if Cersei Lannister ever gets the hold on the truth of Petyr’s involvement in her son Joffrey’s death, all hell might break loose. Screenrant thinks the mad queen might even declare war against the Starks at the North for housing her son’s murderers.

Along with everything else though, Littlefinger has a ton of secrets under his seemingly harmless stares.  And no secret is left untold in this era. So until everyone finds out about his liking toward Sansa, Lysa Arryn’s death, and even more self-serving schemes, Littlefinger will have to play the biggest liar in Westeros.
