Game of Thrones Season 7 Premiere: 'Dragonstone' Photos Show Winterfell United

In line with the premiere of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 this Sunday, a new batch of images were released by HBO; and as the premiere date looms closer, the marketing for the show is beginning to ramp itself up. So far, two trailers have been released. Both offer up some hints as to what’s going to happen for the show. There are more dragons, Dothraki warriors ready to invade Westeros and unleash wrath with Daenerys Targaryen in the lead. The possible reunion of all the Stark children is also teased, and we might just be in for one extremely gratifying second-to-the-last season.

Along with these trailers were a slew of images. The last batch of photos teased the return of Beric Dondarion and Ser Davos as they arrive in the North presumably to help in confronting the White Walkers. We also had a glimpse of Dany’s new throne room in Dragonstone, also presumed to be her command center once she seizes the Iron Throne. Though most of them don’t tease anything on the plot and other details, the latest images kind of do.

Winterfell United In Game of Thrones Season 7 Premiere

HBO has just released a new batch of photos (which you can check out below) from the “Game of Thrones” Season 7 premiere episode called “Dragonstone.” The newest bunch gives us a closer look at what to expect on this Sunday’s premiere. The images feature mostly new angles of photos that we’ve already seen from the past press releases. However, it helps us have a more insightful look at the upcoming episode.

For one thing, it shows Cersei Lannister’s impressive new map in greater detail. It looks like it’s one of those scenes that would kick off the series once it starts. We also see more of Lyanna Mormont, along with a more prominent glimpse of the North. It also seems like the first few episodes (or even the entire season in general) will be focusing on Winterfell. It would seem very likely as the White Walkers would be coming from the North as well. We also see Brienne of Tarth and Podrick in a duel practice in the courtyard (or maybe even fighting about something real this time).

Meera Reed also takes center stage as she is featured in what appears to be the Stark castle. Meera and Bran will be continuing their journey throughout the North, and this new photo could also indicate that Bran will finally be returning to Winterfell. Whatever the case, all speculation will soon be answered once the premiere for the seventh season happens this Sunday.

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 premieres Sunday, July 16th at 9 PM on HBO. Check out the other images below:
