'I Am the Night' Trailer: Chris Pine Leads Patty Jenkins-Directed TNT Limited Series

TNT has released the trailer for the Chris Pine-starred limited series, titled I Am the Night, from executive producer and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.

Written by Sham Sheridan, the six-episode drama stars Chris Pine as a former Marine-turned-reporter who seeks redemption and retrieval in unveiling the truth behind a Hollywood scandal. Meanwhile, India Eisley will play Fauna Hodel, a character who was given away as a baby. Fauna is on a quest to unlock the secrets of her past, leading her to a dark, murderous road.

Jenkins directed the first two episodes, and Sheridan wrote five of the six episodes. After Jenkins helmed the sellar pilot episode for AMC’s The Killing, she’s back in thriller mode for I Am the Night (which was also previously titled One Day She’ll Darken). The network recently launched another limited series, The Alienist, which got a positive reception from audiences. I Am the Night seems to follow suit, adopting the murder-mystery genre with an A-list cast. It looks like FX isn’t the only network to come up with engaging limited series content, after all.

I Am The Night is probably the network’s ambitious foray into the prestige television realm. If the trailer is worth its salt, I Am The Night might even go as far as achieving a sleeper hit status.

Pine, on the other hand, is currently working with Jenkins for Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to last year’s hit DCEU movie. He stars alongside Gal Gadot.

I Am the Night is set to premiere in January 2019.
