Lucifer Season 3 Episode 6 Recap - Vegas with some Radish

[00:00:50] Dan threw a birthday surprise for Chloe; however, someone stole his thunder by having a male stripper dress up as a police officer. The stripper came out of a life-size cake and stripped to his underwear. He began dancing in front of Chloe. Dan suspected that Lucifer was behind the stripper. Lucifer told Dan that it wasn’t his plan as Ella emerged and threw money at the stripper. She went downstairs to dance with Chloe as she guided her hand to spank the stripper.

[00:02:00] Lucifer received a call from the Las Vegas Police Department. They were asking him about Candy. He told them that Candy was his ex-wife and that the annulment lasted a year before they were legally separated. The police department told him that Candy was missing. Ella went inside the lab and noticed that Lucifer was worried. He told Ella that he had just received a call from the Las Vegas Police Department informing him that Candy was missing. Ella offered to stop the celebration so that they could help him; however, Lucifer refused. She didn’t want to go to Vegas with Lucifer however she had no choice. Chloe went inside the lab as well, but Lucifer stopped Ella from telling her the problem. Lucifer and Ella left the party to head over to Las Vegas.

[00:04:00] Lucifer and Ella arrived in Las Vegas. He still kept receiving messages from Chloe; however, he refused to tell her the truth since it was still her birthday. They entered the casino and noticed that there were too many policemen in the vicinity. They entered Candy’s room to confirm that it was an active crime scene. Lucifer saw Candy lying face first on the floor. Someone had peeled her face off. Lucifer noticed that the woman had dainty feet and explained to Ella that it wasn’t Candy. Before Ella and Lucifer could leave, they were greeted by Detective Long. He had spoken to Lucifer on the phone to inform him about Candy. Long was curious as to why Lucifer seemed okay with Candy’s death. He was about to tell him that the dead girl wasn’t Candy when Ella stopped him.

[00:07:00] Ella made up an excuse in order to end their conversation with Detective Long. Ella told Lucifer that they shouldn’t tell LVPD that Candy was still alive as the killer might go and look for her again. Lucifer understood and left with Ella. Back in Los Angeles, Chloe visited Linda in order to ask about Lucifer. Chloe explained that it was her birthday and that Lucifer had bailed on her. She had already gone to Lux; however, she didn’t check the penthouse. Linda offered Chloe a seat so that they could talk more about Lucifer. Chloe felt emotional as Lucifer wasn’t there to celebrate her birthday. Linda told Chloe that she would accompany her in the search for Lucifer.

[00:10:00] Ella asked Lucifer if he knew anyone who would want Candy dead. Lucifer reminisced about the time when he had first met Candy. She was a bar singer and a hustler. Candy had managed to pickpocket Lucifer’s cash as well as steal his ring without him noticing. Candy was in debt with Louie Pagliani. He was a local loan shark; however, Lucifer had already dealt with him the last time he went to Vegas. Ella and Lucifer went to visit Louie to ask him some questions. Ella managed to unlock Louie’s front door with her lock-picking skills. Ella found Louie’s body, and it seemed that he had killed himself. She decided to process the crime scene, and, based on the evidence, Louie’s death was made to look like a suicide. Ella and Lucifer saw a family portrait inside the house and suspected that Louie’s wife had killed him.

[00:14:00] Lucifer pulled out Louie’s phone from his corpse to find the number of his wife. Lucifer found Roxie Pagliani and decided to call her. Ella told him that it was a bad idea and took the phone from Lucifer. Once again she used an alibi and heard a slot machine in the background. Ella recognized the slot machine and knew where to find Roxie. Back in Los Angeles, Chloe and Linda went to Lucifer’s penthouse to check if he was there. Linda told Chloe that the overnight bag was missing from Lucifer’s suitcase. Chloe decided that they should celebrate instead of worrying about where Lucifer was. They were about to leave when the idea hit their heads to celebrate in Lucifer’s penthouse. As the two of them were partying, Lucifer decided to call Linda to reschedule his appointment. He told Linda that he was in Vegas.

[00:17:30] Ella looked stunning as she approached Lucifer. She wore a black dress with matching high heels. Lucifer ended his conversation with Linda in order to fully appreciate Ella’s attire. Linda tried to cover up for Lucifer; however, Chloe heard the conversation where Lucifer referred to Ella as “ravishing.” Chloe lost it as she realized that Lucifer was in Vegas with someone ravishing on her birthday. Linda tried to console Chloe about her feelings, but she decided that they should just leave Lucifer’s penthouse. Before they could leave, Chloe accidentally found Lucifer’s vault. It was hidden behind a painting that she knocked down.

[00:19:00] Back in Vegas, Ella and Lucifer spot Roxie. She’s working for the casino as the pit boss. Ella told Lucifer to play blackjack; however, he wanted to play poker. She argued that poker required lying, which Lucifer claimed he was unable to do. Lucifer responded that bluffing and lying were two different things. Ella asked Lucifer if what he was doing with Chloe and the whole Vegas trip thing wasn’t lying. He responded that what he was doing was selective omission. Ella saw an opportunity to get Roxie’s attention by playing blackjack. She wanted to find Lucifer a table to play on, but Lucifer also wanted her to play with him. Ella told him that it was best if she just watched from behind. Lucifer started playing as Ella coached him. Lucifer got excited, but he wasn’t focused on the game.

[00:20:55] Ella could no longer resist and decided to play for Lucifer instead. Ella won the round as well as the attention of the guards. Two men approached the table and escorted them out of the casino floor. Lucifer thought that they were being escorted to the high rollers table, but the guards brought them into a private room instead. Roxie entered the room and showed them the result of the facial recognition test that was done on Ella. She revealed that Ella was banned from the casino for counting cards. Roxie threatened Ella by calling LAPD; however, Ella wanted her to call so that Roxie could confess her crimes as well. Roxie was confused, so Lucifer brought her up to speed. He told her about Louie’s death and that she had killed him. Lucifer used his powers on Roxie in order to find out her deepest desires.

[00:23:20] All they heard from Roxie were her lustful desires for the pro golfer playing within the casino. They came to the conclusion that Roxie didn’t have any motive or opportunity since she was working at the time Louie had died. Back at Lucifer’s penthouse, Chloe and Linda were still trying to break into Lucifer’s vault. They also called Dan to assist them, and he brought a drill with him to make things easier. Security tossed Ella and Lucifer out of the casino. Lucifer commended Ella, but she told him that counting cards were just a way to silence the voices. Lucifer wanted to know what voices she was talking about, but she just told him that she just had stuff she wanted to avoid. He wanted to focus on helping Candy, so he told Ella how they had met.

[00:26:00] Lucifer went to Candy’s in order to get his ring back. He told her to keep the money, but he needed the ring because of its sentimental value. Candy apologized and explained her situation to Lucifer. She knew that Lucifer had his own problems to deal with, and Lucifer ended up sharing his situation as well. Lucifer suggested that Candy marry him in exchange for payment on her father’s debt. Ella didn’t understand why Lucifer fake-married Candy just to avoid Chloe; however, before Lucifer could respond, Candy showed up. It seemed the woman who had died in her apartment was her friend Ali. Candy had told Ali to stay with her after she broke up with her boyfriend. Candy went home and found Ali dead. The deed to her father’s bar had gone missing as well. She decided to confront Louie, but he was also dead by the time she had arrived.

[00:30:45] Candy knew that the killer wanted her father’s bar. She had posed as a waitress at the casino in order to get closer to Roxie. Lucifer told her that Roxie wasn’t their suspect because she was working at the time Louie had died. He realized that he was still Candy’s husband, which meant he now owned the bar. Lucifer planned to use himself as bait in order to catch the killer and save Candy. They tried to flush the killer out with a live performance; however, it didn’t work. Back at the penthouse, Dan accidentally drilled into the wall instead of the safe. Linda suggested that spackle would do the trick to repair the wall. Chloe was still emotional about Lucifer ditching her on her birthday. Linda told her that Lucifer was nontraditional and that he cared for her despite his shortcomings.

[00:36:30] The bar closed up, and Lucifer came face to face with their killer. The bartender pulled out his gun and declared himself the owner of the bar. Judd shot Lucifer a few times, but it didn’t affect him. Candy was about to come out of the stage, but Lucifer signaled her to stop. Candy continued to speak to Judd like she was a ghost in order to trigger his guilt. Everything went according to plan, and Judd confessed to his crimes. He wanted to demolish the bar and sell the land. Judd opened fire on the mirrors on stage in order to get rid of Candy’s reflection. Ella stepped in and shot him in the leg to end the commotion. Ella and Chloe turned Judd over to the LVPD as she gave all the credit to Detective Lang. She returned to L.A with Lucifer.

[00:40:00] Lucifer arrived in his penthouse to find Linda and Dan passed out on his couch. He saw Chloe lying on his bed, so he went over to apologize. Lucifer thought Chloe was sleeping, but she woke up and heard his apology. Lucifer saw that they had discovered his safe, so he opened it and revealed that it contained his gift for Chloe’s birthday. Chloe got up in order to find out what was inside the vault and was surprised to find it belonged to her. Chloe opened the box and took out a necklace. Lucifer told her that it was the bullet that from Chloe’s gun when she shot him at the factory. Lucifer had made it into a necklace to commemorate the one time that Chloe penetrated him because he knew that he wouldn’t be able to penetrate her.
