‘Married at First Sight’ Season 6, Episode 8 Recap: Between Love and Attraction [SPOILERS]

In “Married At First Sight” Season 6, Episode 8, the couples face one of the crucial challenges of their marriage—living together as husband and wife. With just five weeks left in the experiment, they should start figuring things out immediately. They should also be able to decide if they will continue their marriage or not.

A pole dance surprise

During last week’s episode of “Married at First Sight,” Shawniece confessed to her friends that she and Jephte finally had sex. But it seems that she is not satisfied with the intimacy she had with Jephte. During this week’s episode, she put up a stripper pole in their kitchen and performed a routine for him. She even left dollar bills for him on the counter. Wearing a skimpy black fighter costume and a matching helmet, she tried her best to impress her husband. The show, however, turned out to be so funny when Jephte burst into laughter after seeing her in that kind of situation.

But even though Jephte didn’t take her seriously, it looks like he was very concerned about her pulling a muscle. Jephte said she should have warmed up before pulling that stunt. Shawniece assured him that everything is okay and asked him if he liked her outfit, to which Jephte thought was sexy.
Shawniece also told her husband that she wore shorts under her outfit since they filmed the whole scene. But if it were not, she would have instead worn something less than shorts. Her pole dancing might be lacking, but at least her husband appreciated her effort.
This stunt isn’t the first time that Shawniece went above and beyond to impress her husband. She also surprised him with a lap dance during their wedding, leaving Jephte a bit uncomfortable.
Shawniece shared with her husband that her fantasy is seeing him with three dozens of roses while they go out for a date. Jephte didn’t fail her when he surprised her with a bunch of roses before the episode ended.

Jonathan goes below the belt

Even though Molly admitted that she is attracted to her husband and that her feelings are growing every day, it looks like everything isn’t going smoothly for them until now. Molly was not ready to have sex with his husband—frustrating Jonathan more.
Jonathan prepared dinner and Molly showed her appreciation by popping up on a redheaded wig. Jonathan’s happiness immediately vanishes, though, when they didn’t end up having sex.
Jonathan said that he prepared a romantic dinner hoping that Molly would be intimate with him but it never happened, making him feel distraught, sad, and angry at the same time. Jonathan added that he is always getting mixed signals from Molly and he doesn’t know the real score between them anymore.
Molly explained that she is not physically attracted to him right now, but she could be in the next coming weeks. Jonathan, however, was not convinced with all her reasons and continued telling Molly all his expectation in their relationship.
Their conversation resulted in a heated argument after Jonathan brought up the topic of Molly having a threesome with a guy she barely knew in college. Molly said that Jonathan is going below the belt, but he didn’t stop. Jonathan continued saying that he feels like the boy whom Molly had a threesome was way more attractive than him since her physical attraction to him isn’t there yet—after those times that they have been together.

Jaclyn thinks Ryan has no time for her

During this week’s episode, Ryan and Jaclyn hang out together with their friends in a lake. Ryan hopes that their outing would help Jaclyn know him more—not only as a person but as her husband as well.

When Jaclyn and her friend were left together in the boat, she admitted that she is concerned that Ryan has no time for her since he is working in construction during the day and the firehouse at night. Jaclyn added that she hopes Ryan would spend more time with her because they need time together for them to step forward and for their relationship to grow. When Ryan knew about Jaclyn’s concern, he tried to remove her fears, but Jaclyn was not convinced.
When Ryan appeared in their room shirtless, it seemed that Jaclyn forgave him already. During their talk, Ryan said that he wanted Jaclyn to expect that he would sacrifice some things for her but also wants her to accept him for who he is.
