Million Yen Women Season 1 Episode 12 Recap - Emotions

Midori meets up with Yuki for the first time after they went their separate ways. Midori tells Yuki about her plan to visit different places and see how other people live. Yuki asks her if she also plans to meet with Hitomi and Shin. Midori tells Yuki that because she is in love with Shin, she doesn’t want him to have any more murderers in his life.

Sunako appears behind Yuki and strangles her with a wire. Yuki tries to fight back, but she can’t break free. Midori reveals that Minami told her everything in the will she left behind. She also tells Yuki that she knows her real name: Megumi Yano, the wife of a very powerful man, Keisuke Yano.

Yuki dies with her fearful eyes looking at Midori. When Yuki is finally dead, Midori asks Sunako to make her disappear. Sunako calls Takeshi. Takeshi goes inside the room carrying a suitcase. He takes Yuki’s body and puts her inside the suitcase before closing it.

While Shin is walking outside, he thinks he sees Midori talking to someone. When he walks towards her, he realizes it is someone else. He keeps on walking and thinks he sees Minami walk past him. He sees a different woman looking back at him when he looks behind him. He keeps walking and thinks he hears Nanaka’s voice calling his name. When Shin looks up, he sees a poster of Nanaka smiling at him. Just inside the bookstore where Nanaka’s poster is posted, Shin thinks he sees Hitomi. Thinking it is just another one of his hallucinations, Shin looks away and continues on his way.

Mr. Sakurai goes to a bookstore to check Shin’s books. He finds out that Hitomi works there. Hitomi tells Mr. Sakurai that Shin saw her once, but he just walked away. She tells Mr. Sakurai that she will just continue supporting Shin from afar and asks him to look after Shin.

One day, Shin comes home and sees the cat inside his house. When he walks inside, he sees Hitomi waiting for him. Hitomi tells Shin she will live with him even though the place is small. Hitomi admits she accepted the invitation because she is Shin’s fan and wants to protect him. But after some time, Hitomi fell in love with Shin.

Shin asks Hitomi to leave him alone because he is tired of finding someone to love, only to lose them later on. Hitomi insists she just wants to be near Shin. She hugs him tight and tells him she just wants to be near him. Shin hugs Hitomi tight and asks her to live with him again.

Everyone goes back to their normal lives. Yuzu plans on writing his next novel, with Moriguchi still supporting him. Midori goes to an orphanage, donates 10 million yen under Minami Shirakawa’s name, and asks the head of the orphanage to make sure to use all the money for the children. Hitomi and Shin live together. Shin just finished his new novel “My Ladies.”

Our Thoughts

Finally, the last episode! We never thought Midori would be the one to give justice to Nanaka and Minami’s death. But we are happy that she chose to stand up for herself and take action. Even though Minami told her in a letter to just walk away and live her life, Midori chose to stay. We also found out that Minami tried to stop Yuki, but she was just too powerful for Minami to deal with. It turns out, Minami is not that cold-hearted at all.

We never thought that of all the five people who lived with Shin, he would end up with Hitomi. But in the end, everyone managed to find their place and move on with their lives.
