Money Heist Season 4 Episode 2 Recap - Berlin's Wedding

[00:00:15] Tokyo remembered her soccer match with Nairobi. It was Team Nairobi versus Team Toyko. Palermo was going to take a penalty shot due to Denver causing a commotion during the match. Tokyo blocked the shot and celebrated their victory. Back at the bank, Tokyo removed part of Nairobi’s lung without any guidance from Dr. Ahmed. No one knew whether they were saving Nairobi or killing her.

[00:04:50] Sergio and Marseille arrived at Madrid, where three motorcycles awaited them. Sergio and Marseille left the barn and the motorcycle that should have been for Lisbon. Angel also arrived in Madrid and brought Raquel into the command center. She wore a disguise so that no one would recognize her, but everyone inside the command center knew it was her. Everyone looked at her as a traitor. She approached Inspector Sierra, who showed off her pregnancy.

[00:08:00] Amanda treated Arturo’s wounds as Denver walked into the bathroom. Rio joined him and saw what Denver had done to Arturo. The two of them walked out of the bathroom; he told Denver that he couldn’t lose himself like a teenager and just beat anyone up as he wished. Arturo continued his talk with Amanda. He did what he knew best, talk his way into anything. Arturo seduced Amanda with his words, sounding as if he cared for her well-being. Meanwhile, Rio and Denver exited the room entirely and continued their argument in the hallway.

[00:11:50] Palermo went downstairs dressed for a wedding. He told Matias that he was leaving. Matias was currently guarding the prisoners and asked him where he was going. Palermo took out plastic explosives from his suitcase and placed them a few feet from the hostages. Palermo was going to open the front door when Tokyo shot the console. She missed Palermo’s hand by a few inches. Tokyo told Palermo that they could talk, but there was no option to leave the bank. Palermo tried to open the door again, so Tokyo shot the console once more. He told Tokyo that she had staged a coup, so he was no longer needed. Tokyo disagreed, saying that she would be in charge of the military while he led the technical aspect of the heist.

[00:13:00] Palermo didn’t want any part of the technical aspect of the heist. For him, he was either the leader of the group or not. He wasn’t an engineer, nor was there a need to command Bogota or the rest of the team, who were melting the gold. Tokyo pointed her gun at Palermo. She swore to kill Palermo if he decided to leave. Palermo showed Tokyo a small remote device. He told Tokyo that it was for the claymore mines, which were pointed in their direction. Palermo threatened to blow up Tokyo and the hostages; however, Helsinki arrived to try and talk some sense to Palermo. Helsinki picked up the claymore mines and told Palermo that he’d blow himself up if he decided to leave. He approached Palermo to hug him while whispering, “I got you.” Tokyo took the detonator from Palermo to end the fiasco.

[00:16:00] Stockholm charged Denver, who was busy working with Bogota at the vault. She wanted to know why he had spoken with Rio. Denver responded by telling Stockholm the truth. While the two of them were arguing, Bogota signaled Denver to shut up, but he didn’t understand the gesture and continued to argue with Stockholm. She told Denver that she no longer knew him and reiterated that they could no longer continue their relationship. Stockholm boarded the elevator and left Denver dumbfounded. Bogota gave Denver advice on how to deal with a wife’s raging anger and headed back to work.

[00:19:00] Marseille and Sergio were riding towards Madrid when Tokyo called. She told Sergio what had happened and assured him that everything was already under control. Tokyo added that Palermo was tied up and under 24-hour surveillance. Tokyo told Sergio that he had been her guardian angel, and it was now time to return the favor. She asked Sergio how Lisbon had died. Sergio told Tokyo what happened in complete detail. He cried as he recalled the painful details and how he couldn’t save the love of his life. Tokyo wanted to know if Sergio had seen Lisbon die. He suddenly realized that he hadn’t seen Suarez shooting Lisbon. Sergio told Tokyo that had had had to run away from the scene the moment he had heard the shots.

[00:21:40] Tokyo told Sergio about the moment her mother had nearly succeeded in turning her over to the police. She added that they had also made the police think that they were escaping when it was only a ferret, which was moving within the pipes. Tokyo made Sergio realize that Lisbon could still be alive. Sergio got his hopes up and headed to his motorcycle. Marseille realized what had happened and stopped Sergio as his plan was too risky. Sergio did his best to get past Marseille, but he wasn’t able to get on the motorcycle.

[00:23:00] Inspector Sierra interrogated Raquel. She told her that with all the information that they had against her, she would be 70 years old by the time she got out of jail. Raquel told Sierra that it would be the prosecution’s decision as to how long she would stay in jail. Sierra responded that the prosecution and judge would act based on the details of her report, and she could write anything in her report.

[00:24:00] Sergio and Marseille continued their argument. Marseille didn’t want Sergio to go to the bank, which resulted in a fistfight. Back at the command center, Raquel wouldn’t provide any information about the Professor, so Sierra got personal. She attacked their relationship to make her feel unwanted. Raquel remembered the times that Sergio had only seemed to care about the heist and not their relationship. Sergio, on the other hand, planned to approach the bank of Spain dressed up as a Dali. Marseille told Sergio that he had a very good plan.

[00:27:00] Berlin gave Sergio another piece of advice at his wedding. He told Sergio that anyone would betray their loved ones. It all depended on the gravity of the situation. Sergio smiled at Berlin as he joined the festivities of his wedding. Sierra continued to attack Raquel and her relationship with Sergio. Sierra asked Raquel if she deserved to spend 30 years in jail for Sergio. Raquel looked like she was on the edge of betraying Sergio.

[00:31:00] Antoñanzas approached Colonel Tamayo to ask about the arrest report for Raquel Murillo. He told Tamayo that he was checking the reports to avoid any issues about human rights. Colonel Tamayo reminded him that he was in charge, and he would follow the law when he wanted to. Antoñanzas couldn’t do anything but obey Colonel Tamayo as he agreed to keep quiet regarding the arrest reports.

[00:33:00] Marseille and Sergio arrived in Madrid and headed for the bank of Spain. They dressed as Dali’s and approached the perimeter. Sergio noticed three things that were clues about whether or not Raquel was still alive. First was the police van with dried mud on its wheels. He checked the plate number and confirmed that it belonged to the town where Raquel had been shot. Secondly was Angel’s presence as he exited the command center. Sergio knew that Angel would be one of the first people to mourn Raquel’s death. Lastly was Alicia’s presence as she exited the command center. It had been a few hours since they agreed on a truce, yet she was still inside the command center. Sergio thought that she would be resting by now unless she was too busy interrogating someone.

[00:34:10] Marseille and Sergio left the bank of Spain. Sierra went back inside the command center and offered Raquel a deal. She told Raquel that Alberto would be examining the ambulance that they had used as a communication center for the heist. She offered to remove all evidence that would link her to the heist, but Raquel confidently responded that they wouldn’t find anything against her. Sierra told Raquel that they would find something that would lead them to her mother and daughter.

[00:36:00] Tokyo and Bogota watched over Nairobi as she lay on a table. Stockholm and Rio assisted the hostages as they took turns using the restrooms. Palermo was chained up to an office chair beside Gandia. Palermo asked Gandia a question, but he declined to answer. Gandia told Palermo that he would feed him his balls. Palermo wittily responded that his idea would be fun if Gandia’s hands weren’t tied up. Palermo gave Gandia an idea in order to escape. He told Gandia that he could escape his handcuffs if he dislocated his metacarpal. After their conversation, Palermo sang to the hostages about freedom. Rio approached him and aimed his pistol at his chest.

[00:39:00] Antoñanzas got up from bed and headed for his bathroom. As he was urinating, Sergio called out from behind. He tried to arrest Sergio but felt a gun touch his nape. Marseille accompanied Sergio as he told Antoñanzas to get down on his knees. He begged for his family’s safety. Sergio assured him that nothing bad would happen as long as he cooperated. Antoñanzas told them he couldn’t breathe. Sergio ordered Marseille to open the window as he guided Antoñanzas to the sink. He washed his face and took the opportunity to jump out the window. Antoñanzas hit a diving board and fell into the pool. Back at the command center, Sierra offered another deal for Raquel. She told her that she could get out of prison within five years if she cooperated.
