New Marvel’s 'Inhumans' Trailer: Medusa Gets A Makeover

“Marvel’s Inhumans” released a new trailer and it’s just as jam-packed as the previous one. Based on the comic book series of the same name, “Marvel’s Inhumans” follows a group of genetically modified humans who find themselves on Earth. This time, we get another look at Maximus (Iwan Rheon) amassing his army in his takeover of Attilan. He also tries to turn Medusa (Serinda Swan) against Black Bolt (Anson Mount), only for the queen to shut him down hard. The trailer also shows us more of the Inhumans’ powers and their ties to Earth, where the war to take back Attilan will begin. But the biggest draw lies with Medusa, who in the last seconds of the trailer reveals a startling change.

Medusa’s New Look in Marvel’s Inhumans

Easily, Medusa’s most defining characteristic is her flowing red locks. They act as both her signature and a surprisingly deadly weapon. We get a few glimpses of the strange power in the trailer, as she uses her hair like extra appendages, shoving people away or choking them. So it was a huge surprise to fans when, in the last few seconds, Medusa appeared without them. That’s right. We watch as the queen of Attilan – red locks completely shaved off – gets in a brawl with one of Maximus’ followers.

This is the first time we’ve seen Medusa use her own fists to do the talking. And honestly? She looks completely badass. That leaves a couple of questions on what exactly prompted the new look. Still, it’s good to know the queen can definitely hold her own in the human world just as easily as on her home base.
